1. Lidocaine is given at the ankle, a small needle is used to access the vein to be treated.

2. A wire is positioned within the vein.

3. A catheter is positioned over the wire, the wire is removed and a laser fiber is introduced whitin the catheter.

4. Local anesthesia is delivered and laser is turned on, and laser fiber is slowly pulled back until exiting the leg.

Your leg will be cleaned, a pressure dressing applied and a stocking applied over the stocking.
